The Sandwich Swap

The sandwich swap is a unique book that was written by Queen Rania of Jordan. The book follows the characters Lily and Salma who are best friends. Since they are best friends, they do everything together including eating their lunches together. Trouble comes when Lily brings a peanut butter sandwich, and Salma brings a hummus sandwich, in which starts a fight about the differences of each other's food choices. The story sends a message that the small things can tear friends apart until one learns that friendship is far more important than differences in one another. I like this book because it sends a message of acceptance of cultural differences.
