Amazing Faces

Amazing Faces is a book of 16 poems that express the common human emotions we all share. People of all ages, color, and backgrounds invite readers to experience their world and the connections they all share through these poems. The poems are contemporary yet timeless, and are written by great authors such as Joseph Bruchac, Rebecca Kai Dotlitch, Nikki Grimes, and more. The illustrations, done by Chris Soenpiet, are excellently done to match the tone and setting of each of the poems. I like this book because it combines multiple works from authors who all have different perspectives in life, but are able to come together to find connections and similarities to the reader.
