A + E 4ever

Stonewall ALA Winner

A + e 4ever is a graphic novel book that is written by Ilike Merey. It is also the winner of the Stonewall ALA award. The book follows a teenage boy called Asher who has been bullied so much to the point he is terrified of being touched. He meets a girl named Eulalie who is labeled as a "dyke" at school and they quickly befriend each other. The story continues with these two teenagers dealing with love and friendship, gay and straight, and boy and girl differences between them. The book explores the little talked and written about "genderqueer life". I like this book because it is supportive to those struggling with identity in their teenager years such like these two teenagers.
